Hmm so turns out I have a lot of feelings about intellectual property and corporate ownership.

The live action reviews are messy because they’ve made assumptions about what is canon. I’ve been through reboots before so I’m used to Eras of Canon (like the Star Wars extended universe or Trek timelines)…

Garrett Sander is the creator of Monster High but he didn’t get to decide what was canon at the time due to corporate and now he’s not employed by Mattel and has no say over the characters in G3.

Put simply, Clawdeen isn’t a lesbian in G1 canon because corporate never allowed it and G3 canon will be whatever Mattel decides even if it goes against a character design basic by Sanders because he didn’t truly own any intellectual property created during company employment and has now been shut out of it (probably with no royalties whatsoever).

I’ve long felt this type of IP ownership is disgusting. Carter Bryant was struggling to pay hospital bills while his creation: Bratz, not revamped, the literal original designs, are selling like hotcakes because he doesn’t technically own his work.

And while the monster high tag fights over whether Cleo/Deuce or meangirl!Torelei is “canon”, I’m just getting more and more annoyed that “canon” was never Sander’s to decide and isn’t going to pay his bills. He’s not even being sent the repros of his original designs. Mattel can do whatever they want with the Monster High characters and worse they can milk it without the creator getting a dime.

So that’s my contribution to the discourse: Please look beyond the characters at how the sausage is made.

If fans decide to campaign for anything from Mattel, please can it be to allow their artists royalties on their work.

OK then…I watched the new Monster High movie, and it positively surprised me. So, it’s not the movie of the century, of course, but it has potential if they want to make a sequel. 

To facilitate your experience, I advise you not to compare the film with the old cartoons. It’s not the same Clawdeen, it’s not the same Frankie, Draculaura, Cleo or Deuce. They are basically NEW characters within a new universe INSPIRED by the old one.
Think of it as an alternate universe.

I was watching the Owl House and decided to create my own character.

Paring: Loki ( Variants) X Reader X  Party Thor

It was hard to get an Y/N in Void, so when you showed up, all variants wanted attention. However, none of them were succeeding because of a special variant. A Thor variant.
Obviously, all Lokis miss Thor, even if some never admit it. However, none of them would miss that one. He was a party boy, ten times more cocky, snobbish, and flirtatious than a normal Thor. He was stealing all the attention, all the free time from Y/N. But the funny thing was, despite everything, this Thor really liked Y/N. You, however, did not seem aware of his affection for you.

— You are without a doubt the most beautiful creature I have ever met, Y/n. — Currently, PartyThor was flirting with you in front of seven grumpy Lokis.

— Aw, Thankyou Thor.  — You smile at him, in your head he’s just kidding.

— Can you believe it?  — President Loki looked indignant, putting his hands on his hips. — I compliment her, and she never smiles.

— Of course you are a pig.  — Sylvie rolled her eyes. She was in a bad mood.

— Hey! 

— Why does he have to get all the attention? — Boastful Loki complained.

— Honestly, I love my brother, but this Thor is so annoying. — Sighed the Classic Loki.

— I wonder where this one came from…— TVA Loki crossed his arms.   — I mean, look at him. He looks so stupid, even his face is stupid.

— Yeah… — The others agreed.

Each Loki carefully watched Thor’s every move, he had told some joke and you laughed out loud. At some point, inside Kid Loki’s lair, Party Thor sat on the red and gold throne, pulling you onto his lap in a hug. And that was enough for the owner of the throne.

— Can I kill him again?  — Kid Loki asked showing his golden dagger.

— No. —  Classic Loki grabbed the boy’s wrist. — This is too extreme. —  Then he looked at the Alligator Loki beside him.  — But you can be useful.

Okay, so I got this idea when I saw What If…And all the merchandise.

I believe that since Luka is keeping the secret, this could be the cause of his further akumatization, as he is the only member of his family who does not yet have a magical amulet to protect him.

It was strange, Loki hadn’t met you, but apparently, you existed in this new reality, and he was unsure if he liked it.

Y/N: So let me get this straight, basically you fell in love with yourself? 

Loki: Yeah.

Mobius: And she betrayed you and left you here?

Loki: Basically…

You and Mobius look at each other before speaking:

“What a loser!´´

Mobius: .Well, that was fun, but we don’t have time for games, and …we have work to do, so… - He signals some agents to grab Loki.  - Arrest him. 

Loki: W-what? N-no, wait, we need to work together, Mobius, you know me, you know I’m telling the truth. We are friends!

Mobius:  Uh, no - Mobius points at you.-  She’s my friend. The only time I saw you was in a file folder, you are a Loki. You don’t speak the truth. Take him away.

Loki looked desolate, you can’t help but feel a little sorry for him as you watched him being dragged away. Maybe, just maybe, you should talk to him later.

Can we talk about how Cat Noir seemed to be jealous of the Tigress´s powers? I laughed a lot, I mean look at his face.

Since the events of the “Truth” episode, Marinette has been avoiding Luka because he’s afraid things will get awkward between them, because he’s still in love with her.
However, Luka is sadder because she is running away from him, as he said at the end of the episode:
“It hurts more NOT to see you than to see you, Marinette.´´

In short, he wants her to remain a part of his life, so much so that he said he was afraid she would hate him or something. In the end, she apologizes:

``Luka, sorry for running away from you… friends?´´ - And they come back together, for now as friends.
I don’t know what the WISHMAKER episode might bring, but I think they got back to spending time together.

Now, a funny thing, but it makes you think.

When Ladybug comes to pick up Juleka, she fumbled during their conversation , very similar to Marinette, and Luka seems to have noticed. I think the theory that he’s going to discover her identity might be real.

Or he was surprised that she had taken his sister.

Each Loki has its own Y/N…That doesn’t mean you guys will do well on every timeline.Of course, being sent to the Void didn’t help.

Classic Loki: So…Are U friends? -He asked visibly interested.
He had never known any variant of his Y/N.

Even Kid Loki and Alligator Loki were interested. They had never met any variant of her Y/N.

Y/n looked at TVA Loki and he reciprocated.

NOT EVEN CLOSE

Alioth was the biggest problem in The Void, and stopping this thing was a priority. But no one expected you to be able to do this.

TVA Loki: Okay..I didn’t know she could do that.

Obviously he was surprised, so far, all he knew about you was that you hated your job at TVA, and that you had a weird fascination with alligators. 

Alligator Loki had been very happy to meet you.

Loki was not happy.
Their relationship seemed doomed to failure by the time (current boyfriend’s name) showed up. And of course he blew it out with the other Lokis. Except with the President and company, but they were smart enough to see the problem.

Y/N: Oh,right, girls… - You point to the man beside you.-  This is my boyfriend, and…- You pointed to the others behind him.- I believe you guys will still meet, but let me introduce his variant…
